We have divided everything into facilities in your own apartment,

and the extras outside the apartments, those you can share with other guests.

On Christmas day we made these lovely pictures, when we organised an afternoon with games, and everyone had a small handicap. Like blindfolded playing at the shovelboard, tabletennis with just one eye..... darts with different rules, perhaps you have got more ideas ? In the delightful sun (22 degrees) under the roof our guests were having lots of fun. Afterwards we all had a wonderful Christmasmeal, which Margareth had made.            

We've put some cosy chairs and sofa's and there is also a cupboard full with all kind of games and plays, not only for the children...... Would you like something else....? There is a toybox for the smaller kids; filled with...... toys to play with, like cars, Lego, dolls, etc. ..?  

Facilities that are present in all apartments :

* you have got your own frontdoor/entrance from the outside on the groundfloor.  So there is no shared door, or hall or staircase. You do not have to deal with other people if you don't like. You can come and go as you please.

* hotwater is supplied by your own geyser (constant gas-boiler), so you won't get cold water, even if every guest is having a shower after one another. The geyser and the gascooker are using gas out of bottles. In normal cases this gas is included in the rent. Gas and electricity for heating purposes is being calculated separately. Particularly in the 4 wintermonths november till february you regularly need extra warmth in the apartment.  Especially in the evenings and night, to keep out moisture and damp. For this purpose you have got several heaters (gas and electrical) at your disposal. 

* colortelevision via satelite with about 200 television channels and about 100 radiochannels, all in topquality.

* every week you get clean towls twice and clean bedlinnen once.

* You have got a kitchen with a spacious refridgerator, microwave-oven (with grill), gascooker for 4 pans with oven, watercooker, coffeemachine and a vary complete set of kitchentools (cutlery, spoons, dishes, measuring cups, crockery, glasses,  good cooking- and boilingpans, pair of scissors, canopener, lighter, notepad/memoboard, garbagecans, etc. etc.) Apartement 1&2 have a separate kitchen, in apartement 3&4 the kitchen is combined in the living room. 

*  the bedrooms have nice and good beds, digital radio/alarm, fine matrasses and beautiful continental quilts (duvets). If you prefer a normal blanket with sheets, that's also possible. Almost all bedrooms have a dressingtable with mirror. Special beds for small children/babies can be provided (with no extra costs).

* nice bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet, washbasin and apartment 1&2 also have a bath.

* Each apartment has its own gardenset with a table and armchairs. Use them to enjoy the sun (or the shade...), to eat outside, to play a game on, to have a chat in the evenings, to..................

* a separate beachparasol and a small cool-box (with cooling elements) are provided to take to ...... the beach. Sit in the shade if it gets too warm and still keep your food cold. Try pieces of fresh melon, absolutely delicious !

* possibility to have a warm meal (dinner) :

Several days a week you have the opportunity to join our family for a warm meal (dinner). Please notify us at least two days upfront. It will cost you only €.12,50 p.p. including several glasses of wine, beer, water or fresh drinks. The meal is consisting of a starter, maindish and desert.

All extras outside the apartments, at disposal to all our guests :

+ swimming pool (size + 5 x 9 meter) with easy chairs for sunbathing and a cosy bank. The terrace surrounding the pool has both shade and sunsides and there is a cold shower for freshening up (terrific in hot summer !) Also we got several floating toys for in the water and a slide, a goal, play balls, and more "fun-stuff".

+ There is a grocery-car on wheels that you can use to do your shoppings on foot. You don't necessarily need a car for that, because the supermarket (Inter Marché) is only 400 meters away. That's easy isn't it ?

+ our laundrymachine is at the disposal of our guests, meaning: at € 5,00 Margareth does your clothes in the washingmachine, with the washing powder and some fabric softener. You will have to do the rest for yourself. But every apartment has a portable dryingrack, in the sun everything is dry in a second ! Folding and ironing is possible with an iron and an ironing board, available in the apartement or from us (at no cost). During colder months it is possible to put the wash in the dryer.                              

+ there is a huge trampoline of 3 meters average and 90 cm hight. Splendid for the kids, but also nice for the older ones. As you can see on the picture, we've also got a smaller  "trampo" (130 cm average and 30 cm high) especially for little children. And who doesn't like jumping.....?

+ Under the roofed courtyard we have several games to play, some easy chairs and a couch to sit on. A table with some chairs to play games or just to chat in the evening sun.

+ many of our guests really appreciate the pool table . Wonderful to play some pool in the evening or during the day under the roof. With a drink and a talk you can be here for hours and hours.......

+ tabletennis is one of the games. Who dares to challenge the master of the house...?  or just practise or play alone with one-side-up (like tabletennissquash). Tabletennisbats are in the cupboard, but even better is bringing your own "winning-bat". Who dares...? 

+ now we also have an  air-hockey table  with electronic counter. You know, the red floating things you have to push into the goal of your opponent. No "bodychecks" aloud please !

+ we also got 2 dartboards with countinglists. You can borrow the darts from us, but even better is bringing your own darts, than you're shure to through a bulls-eye or "one-hundred-and-eighty !"  There is also a special dartbord for children.

+ furthermore you will find a real table-football-game, so you can play your own match insteat of watching the football on the tele......

+ Also there is a hammock where you can dream away in the sun or in the shade under a parasol, like you are floating in the air.........

+ we've also got a lot of party games, some of them are in the cupboard under the lean-to, other-ones you can borrow from us. Varying from card-games, to monopoly, "mens-erger-je-niet", boardgames, dices etc. Nice to play with your family in the evening after a warm day on the beach. But also chess and a draughtboard for those who like to sport with their heads.

+ for the little ones we have a lot of toys, like dolls, cars, lego, mecanics, box of building blocks, etc.

+ also a lot of videotapes (for children ánd for grown-ups) and a vcr to rent for only €.3,= per day.

+ right behind our house is a quiet square, were you can play football, badminton (rackets, shuttles ánd a net are here), jeu-de-boule (also in store...) or a lot of nice childrens' games, like hide-and-seek, play tag, ball-games, and all those plays children can invent..... Perhaps our kids may want to join yours, if you like.....? 

+ at 5 minutes walking-distance is a school with a football-field, 2 basketball-fields, running track. Open all year round, including after school-hours and holidays... Many times children are playing here, so "cool" to have a foreigner as opponent or player. Also there are several tenniscourts in the neighborhood. You can rent the courts per hour. Bring your own racket, otherwise rent one (we have got 2 rackets + balls).

+ We also got 8 bikes to rent at a symbolic price of only €. 2,= per bike per half-a-day (4 hours) (4 ladies-bikes- and 4 gentlemens-bikes).

+ We can supply different routes to walk, for a small amount we can bring you to a spot in the morning and pick you up on the end of the day. Walks are possible in the surroundings of Lagos, near the westcoast, in the Alentejo, in the Monchique, and near Silves.

+ You can rent a mobile Portugese telephone from us for just €. 5,= per week. You will only pay the costs of the callings made. Calling to your home-country is a lot cheaperr this way, than calling with a foreign telephone. You can earn the rentmoney back in just one phonecall....!

+ It is possible that we arrange a good rental car; for one or two days or a  week or 2...... We know the right (cheap and good) adress. If you choose a car in advance (through us) someone is waiting at the airport, where you can take the car and leave it again when you return home. In this way you can go where ever you want at any time you like. Go and see the Algarve and the beaches, or the Monchique, or the westcoast, or..... We've got lots of brochures, books, folders and ideas where to go.......

Two years ago the brandnew luxious 18 hole Boavista Golf Resort opened its gates. Only 3 minutes away from your apartment. From our roofterrace we can see the holes and the green. It is one of the best golfcoarses in the Algarve.  All information is to be found on their website Boavista Golf with a map. Right-click it to zoom in and see that we are situated near the roundabout of Pedra Alcada. That's really close, isn't it ? Close that screen to return to our page. There are several other golfcoarses in the neighbourhood. For instance at 3 km is Palmares Golf; nearby the Meia Preia beach. And at 6 km is the brandnew Parque da Floresta, at 7 km. you can find Morgado Golfcourse, and at 8 km is the worldfamous Penina Championship Golfcourse (the Portugal Open Golf Tournament was held here in last April 2004). Thus opportunities more than enough in our neighborhood for golf-pro's and everyone that likes hitting a golfbal. Furthermore it is interesting for the golfers among you to mention that in November 2005 the World Golf Championship is being played in the Algarve !!

Did You know that the Algarve is THE region where you can play golf ALL YEAR ROUND ....! Plenty of opportunities with 25 coarses !

+ We provide you a map with all kind of "things-to-do/-see. Like waterparcs, zoo, nice restaurants (at reasonable prices !), beaches, gasstations and banks, post-offices and pharmacists, barsand cafe's etc. etc.

Like to play darts.........?  We've got two of them and one especially for the smaller children, so come on !

bookings:

When you want to book an apartment, you can either email, call or write us. If the apartment is still available we will send you a bookingscontract and you will have to do a downpayment of 30 % of the rental costs. Receivement of this downpayment is the definite confirmation on your booking. We will send you a message indicating that we have received your money (by bank) as a double check for all agreements made. On the bookings-contract you can find the apartment, dates, names and all costs. At the latest 6 weeks before the rental period the rest of the rental amount has to be paid (through international banking) and a temporary deposit of Euro 75,= . You will be noticed upon receiving again. If nothing is broken or lost at the end of your holiday, you will get back this Euro 75,= . As far as possible we will do all the contacts through email or telephone. On all the rentals we do we use the rules and terms of our Rental Conditions and Houserules.
